Hallelujah for my new office chair! I’ve been sitting on a small $50 rolling chair since the beginning of the pandemic and now that working remote is permanent for me, it was time for an upgrade! It is truly the most comfortable office chair I’ve ever owned. Perfect recline and I can’t even sit cross legged in the seat! The chair is a very good chair. A few of the components were of varying size and quality, EG a screw that was slightly too thick or a thin washer, but were mostly just fine. Assembly was easy, though the wheels required a bit of force to insert fully. As a result of varying screw standards, the left arm rest wiggles a bit as the screw would not thread completely. I suppose this could have been the right arm rest if I had used the screw somewhere else. The only other complaint I have is that the coating on the metal is very fragile - Simple handling caused black bits of metal paint to flake off onto my hands and fingers. This was most noticeable on the screws, but was also present on the arm rest and back rest and adjustment mechanism, so have a sink or hand towel ready when you're done.As other reviews have stated, the back rest is a bit shorter than advertised, so the top of your head will poke up above the back of the seat if you are of average height. The material is soft, and the seat is comfortable - Though because of the built in lumbar support, if you previously had bad posture you will find your back sore the first few times you sit in it for long periods. Work on your posture and that goes away. Aside from the flaking coating, shorter back, and typos in the very simple instructions, this chair is soft and comfortable while providing great support.UPDATE: 6 months later and it's broken. over time the back gets looser and looser. no matter how much you tighten the bottom knob, it continues to get loose until it no longer holds any weight.save your money and look elsewhere.Back is closer to 30", not the 33.19" as advertised, so I can't just lean my head back unless I sit down lower in the seat which then gives no lumbar support. Thus the loss of 1 star.Other than that it is a nice chair, and seems well constructed. if this changes over time, I'll update that.Instructions are on single sheet and very basic, but overall you should be able to figure it out. FYI, the 3 longer screws are for the back/seat support.Seat is fairly comfortable, as is the back support. it is not as "padded" as some others, but still has a good feel to it.Design is much better than those that rely on drilled out and pressed armrest plugs to support the seat and backrest. This uses a steel bar to connect the two together, and the armrests are independent and connect under the seat, so you have the option of not using them if you choose. One thing to note though, due to this design, is unlike some chairs with the armrests connecting the seat and backrest, when you lean back, the back goes back much farther than the seat leans, and the armrests don't follow much, as the seat just barely leans back, so that may take a bit to get used to. (I decided to reverse the armrests, as I tend to lean back and find that much more comfortable, and you can sit with your legs up and not hit them with your thighs either. The backrest just barely rubs slightly on them, but not enough to matter.)The lean is good though, and you can adjust it to be loose or stiff, depending on how much weight you want to use to lean back. You can also lock in the back so it doesn't lean. or lock it at a set lean back. The seat design also doesn't make you feel like it is pushing you forward off the seat either.Wishlist for this chair:I would like to see longer armrests though, as they are a bit forward when leaning back quite a bit. They could make them longer and just add 2 new screw holes to adjust them a bit, depending on how you want them to be.Beautiful chair but it stops there. Comfort is not there at all. Hard as a rock and sits you in a straight position . Maybe great for posture but not for long days. This chair is pretty comfortable, although I think if I was a bigger human it would be more comfortable. I’m 5’6” for reference. I added a lumbar pillow or a butt pad and it works! Wish the armrests were adjustable but for the price you can’t do much better!!!First of all the chair came in a box with holes on the sides. The leg has a big scratch. I could overlook everything if the chair itself worked fine. But no, unlike the pictures shown, it can only lean back a few degrees as shown in the picture I posted with this review. I twisted the knob to make it easier to lean back and I unlocked the handle and sat on it and pushed back as much as I could holding on to the arms and my feet pushing against my table and lock the handle again. That was how much it could lean back, just a few degrees. Otherwise the whole chair would fall back. That's not all, for a 200-dollar chair the stitching just looks weak with loose thread here and there. With the arms it's very wide so u won't be able to fit it under your table if u have drawers on both sides. The whole chair smells so bad, like a dead rat. After I brought it to my room, my whole room smelled the same as the chair itself ?!? For 2 nights now we have to sleep on the couch because my husband said he couldn't handle the smell in the bedroom. I wanted to return it but their people said I had to pay $45 for shipping back because idk how to send them picture and video proof so here I am showing proof.UPDATE: after posting my review the seller still claims they cannot find my pictures anywhere and cannot see my review. I didn't not get any refund. I left the chair out on the curb and my neighbor complained about the smell :)So far it's been great. My first reaction to sitting in it was meh and after about 30 minutes my back started to ache. I was kinda upset thinking that it was the chair but turns my out old chair was just so terrible that the new chair (which gave me corrected posture) was making my bad back feel worse. After a few days the aching went away and now it's great. Built quality is awesome and for the price - I don't think there's much out there that beats this all around great product.
