I'd been looking for some chair covers to mask the damage to the upholstery already caused by my cats...but I'd try other new chair covers and the cats would quickly scratch those up too!Linen chair covers get easily snagged by little claws, and thin spandex chair covers just end up with holes in them!But something about the texture of these chair covers doesn't seem to activate my cats' scratching instincts. I've had them for a couple of weeks now, and have not once caught my cats scratching the chairs! (Knock on wood!)Furthermore, they are very nice-looking! I bought them in the khaki color, and I think they look a little lighter than pictured in the listing. But they are a beautiful neutral color, and have improved the look of my dining area tenfold.I will probably even buy these in another color so that I can switch them out and wash them periodically. The price is amazing, and there are so many great colors.The fabric is nice and stretchy and fits the shape of my chairs well, although they do tend to pop up in the middle a little bit. I'm not too bothered by it, especially since I finally found something reasonably priced that looks nice and is kitty-compatible!The chair covers are also comfortable and make the chairs nicer to sit on. They don't seem to twist or slip or bunch up.My cats enjoy napping on the chairs without scratching them, too. If you're a cat owner you know there's no keeping cats off the furniture, so when you find something you can all live with, it's a win!!(And yes, I wipe off my dining table before eating.
